The verdict
In January 2025 Asana sold AI Studio as a plan feature, not a meter. The 15 January 2025 pricing page listed "AI Studio for Smart workflows" as a row with no credit quantity and nothing to buy, under the same seat prices that stand today (Starter $10.99 annual / $13.49 monthly, Advanced $24.99 / $30.49). A separate "Asana AI" row carried "150 actions per month, 1,500 actions per month, Unlimited, Unlimited" across the plan columns. The 15 April 2025 page added "Annual plans only" to the AI Studio row. The first archive showing a meter is 14 May 2025: "AI Studio (with additional credits for purchase)" (absent on 4 May). By 1 October 2025 the FAQ split AI Studio into Basic ("includes rate limits"), Plus and Pro, with no prices. The credit grants surfaced on 4 May 2026 — "AI Studio Basic w/50K / 75K / 200K credits per billing account per month" (absent 26 April). On 15 September 2026 a second meter appeared: AI requests at $0.50 prepaid or $0.60 pay-as-you-go (absent 14 September). At the 10 October 2026 capture the credit top-up price, run-out rule and Plus/Pro prices remain unpublished.
