Held one rung all window — pattern: Credit burn-rate reprice.
The short version The sticker barely moved — but the meter did. The same work costs more than it used to.
The verdict
Freshdesk already carried a session meter beside its seat plans in January 2025. The pricing page archived on 19 January 2025 listed Growth at $15, Pro at $49 and Enterprise at $79 per agent per month billed annually, with the Freddy AI Agent add-on at "$100 per 1,000 sessions", "First 500 sessions included" once per account on Pro and Enterprise, and "Once exhausted, you need to buy additional" sessions — a hard allotment with a priced pack. A session then meant every email response (chat: a 24-hour window). That rate held through 10 November 2025. Between 10 November and 8 December 2025 the pack became "$49 per 100 sessions" — $0.49 a session against $0.10 — with seats unchanged at $15 / $49 / $79. Between 8 December 2025 and 16 January 2026 the seats rose to $19 / $55 / $89 annual. Between the 4 May and 3 June 2026 captures the email session was redefined as a 72-hour window from the customer's first email, and between 7 July and 4 August 2026 the one-time 500 free sessions were extended to Growth. The 10 October 2026 capture shows that state: $49 per 100 sessions, auto-recharge available, hard stop otherwise.
