The short version The sticker barely moved — but the meter did. The same work costs more than it used to.
The verdict
Gorgias was already outcome-priced in January 2025. Its "Automate pricing" help article, archived on 12 December 2024 and unchanged on 20 April 2025, priced the add-on "based on the number of interactions that get completely resolved by Automate features, without agent involvement", sold as monthly allotments with overage, from 30 automated interactions for $30 a month ($2.00 overage) to 5,000 for $2,500 ($1.00). Under that legacy model a ticket drew a ticket fee or an automation fee, never both. On 28 May 2025 Gorgias cut new accounts over to an "updated pricing model" with "a change to how you're charged for usage" (today's FAQ: each interaction "also counts as a helpdesk ticket"); the 22 June 2025 pricing page showed "Automated resolutions" with overage at "$150/100 resolutions". By 11 December 2025 the page priced AI Agent at "$1.00 per resolved conversation" on Starter ($0.90 on higher plans), allotments set by automation rate (30 to 2,500) and "$1.50 / overage ticket". The 10 October 2026 capture shows the same shape: AI Agent on every plan at $1.00 per automated interaction monthly ($0.90 annual), 30 / 30 / 190 / 530 included, billed overage. The rung never moved; the unit's price did.
