- Now Rung 4 · Metered overage
Held one rung all window — pattern: Credit burn-rate reprice.
The short version The sticker barely moved — but the meter did. The same work costs more than it used to.
The verdict
Gumloop entered 2025 already on opt-in metered overage. The pricing page archived 2025-01-14 listed Free at $0 with 1,000 credits a month, Starter at $97 a month from 30,000 credits and Pro at $297 from 75,000; the docs the same day said "Enable credit overage to continue running automations after your credits run out. Overage credits cost $0.005 per credit." The rung never changed, but the meter beneath it reset three times. Between the 2025-08-07 and 2025-09-08 captures the page became Free (2k credits/month), Solo "starts at $37" for 10k+ credits and Team "starts at $244" for 60k+, with a 14-day trial. Between 2026-03-08 and 2026-04-14 it became one Pro plan "starts at $37" for 20k+ credits, Free 5k. The docs archived 2026-06-11 priced overage at $0.007 per credit. Between 2026-07-10 and 2026-08-04 the free plan disappeared and Pro was restated as "7,400 + 12,600 bonus credits (20,000 / month)"; by 2026-09-21 the docs defined a credit as $0.005, billed model calls at list cost and added an 8% orchestration fee. At the 2026-10-10 capture Pro is $37 for 20,000 credits; agents stop at the allotment unless pay-as-you-go is enabled at $0.005 per credit, capped by default at 1,000,000 credits.
