Prices under test

Lindy is testing its pricing. Lindy's pricing page is running a live price test ('experimentKey':'plus-49-packaging'): each visitor is shown one of two entry offers for the same per-seat plan, at the same rate of about one cent per credit.

  • Control (4 of 6 live fetches). Entry $29.99/mo for 3,000 credits; ladder 3,000 $29.99 · 4,000 $39.99 · 5,000 $49.99 · 6,000 $59.99 · 8,000 $79.99 · 15,000 $99.99 … (Wayback 20261009194043, URL with '?ref=index')
  • Variant v2. Entry $49.99/mo for 5,000 credits; the 3,000 and 4,000 steps removed and a 7,000 / $69.99 step added (Wayback 20261009193400)

What the Index uses: The middle of the tested entry range, $39.99 for 4,000 credits (a step on the control ladder). Pro ($99.99 / 15,000) and Max ($199.99 / 35,000) are the same in both arms.

  1. Jan 2025 Rung 3 · Hard allotment
  2. May 2025 Rung 4 · Metered overage Changelog 2025-05-15: 'Task overages are here!' — opt-in overage past the credit allotment
  3. Sep 2026 → now Rung 3 · Hard allotment Per-user plans; 'no surprise bill', Lindy pauses at the allotment (Wayback 2026-09-03; per-user plans absent on 2026-08-03; overage last documented in the docs 2026-05-12)

The verdict

In January 2025 Lindy sold a monthly credit allotment without overage. The pricing page archived 2025-01-15 showed Free at $0 with "400 Credits / month" and "Up to 400 Tasks"; the app's plan page (archived 2024-12-10 and 2025-04-27) showed Pro at $49.99 a month for 5,000 credits, and a Business page archived 2025-03-15 showed $299.99 for 30,000. On 15 May 2025 the changelog announced "Task overages are here!" The docs archived 2025-11-07 kept a pause as the default ("your agents pause operations"), and the docs archived 2026-05-12 priced the opt-in overage at "2x the cost of regular Lindy credits" while stating "there is no option to purchase one-off credits". Between the 2026-08-03 and 2026-09-03 captures Lindy repackaged into per-user plans — $29.99 for 3,000, $99.99 for 15,000, $199.99 for 35,000 credits a user a month — and the 2026-09-03 page carried no overage option (last documented 2026-05-12): "Nothing breaks and there is no surprise bill. Lindy pauses credit-using actions until your credits reset". Between 2026-10-01 and 2026-10-09 a top-up at $10 per 1,000 credits was added, where the 2026-10-10 capture sits, amid a live A/B test on the entry step ($29.99/3,000 vs $49.99/5,000).

What changed

No dated repricing events are itemized for Lindy in this edition's log (the pricing history is in the verdict above). New moves are added to the change log as they're captured.

Where it's headed

The A/B test is the tell: Lindy is tuning the entry price and allotment, not the meter. If the $49.99/5,000 arm wins, expect the published ladder to drop its 3,000 and 4,000 steps; a return to billed overage would contradict the "no surprise bill" promise now on the page.
