These terms govern your use of Strategy of Finance (strategyoffinance.com), operated by Rohit Agarwal ("SoF", "we", "us"). By using the site, the newsletter, the tools, or enquiring about a service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Not financial advice
Strategy of Finance is a publication and a podcast about finance — the work, the disciplines, the people. Nothing on this site, in the podcast, in the newsletter, in any associated tool, or in any 1:1 advisory or coaching session is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. The content is for general information and discussion. Decisions about your business, your career, your compensation, your equity, your investments, or anything else should be made in consultation with qualified professionals who know your specific situation.
The advisory services ("Work with Me")
We offer paid 1:1 advisory and coaching sessions. These are apply-first: an enquiry is not a booking, and we take on work only where we believe we can genuinely help. The specific scope, fee, and terms of any engagement are agreed with you individually before anything is booked, and that engagement is governed by the terms we agree at that time. The sessions are coaching and education, not regulated financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and we don't guarantee any particular outcome (an offer, a raise, a round, or a result). Nothing on the marketing pages is an offer capable of acceptance or a promise of a specific result.
Tools and calculators
The tools on this site — calculators, models, frameworks — are illustrative aids. Their outputs depend entirely on the inputs you provide. They are estimates, not predictions, recommendations, or guarantees, and you should use them with judgment and verify anything you rely on.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the site lawfully and not to: scrape, harvest, or bulk-download content except as permitted below; attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure; reverse-engineer or misuse the tools; submit unlawful, infringing, or deliberately false content through our forms; or use the site to send spam or impersonate others. We may restrict or remove access for misuse.
Content and intellectual property
All content on the site — essays, podcast episodes, transcripts, tools, designs, and the SoF name and marks — is the work of Strategy of Finance and Rohit Agarwal, except where credited otherwise, and is protected by copyright and other rights. You're welcome to quote, share, and reference our content with clear attribution and a link. You may not republish full essays or episodes, or use our content or marks commercially, without our written permission. If you believe content on the site infringes your rights, contact us at hello@strategyoffinance.com with details and we'll review it promptly.
AI, search engines, and automated use
We welcome search engines and AI answer engines that index our content and present it with clear attribution and a link back — that's how readers find us, and we permit those crawlers to access the site (see our robots.txt). Allowing that access is not a licence to do anything else with our content. We expressly reserve all rights — including for text-and-data-mining purposes — in our content: it may not be used to train, fine-tune, or build artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models, to assemble datasets, or be reproduced in bulk, without our written permission. In short: cite us freely, with credit and a link; don't train on us or republish us wholesale without asking.
Your contributions
If you submit content to the site — a guest referral, a contact message, a question, or a Work with Me enquiry — you grant us a non-exclusive right to use it to respond to you, consider the referral, and improve the site, and you confirm you're entitled to share it. We won't publish your name publicly without your permission. Please don't send confidential information through the forms; if an engagement requires it, we'll agree how it's handled separately.
Newsletter
Subscribing to How to Win means you'll receive the newsletter and occasional related updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any issue. How we handle your email is described in our Privacy Policy.
Third-party links and services
The site links to and embeds third-party platforms (such as Spotify, LinkedIn, and the podcast directories). We don't control those services and aren't responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.
Disclaimers
The site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do our best to keep the content accurate, the tools working, and the site available — but we don't warrant that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any result will be achieved.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Strategy of Finance and Rohit Agarwal will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for any decision you make based on the content, tools, or sessions. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) for the relevant service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, and costs arising from your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms.
Termination
You can stop using the site at any time. We may suspend or restrict access if you breach these terms or misuse the site. The sections that by their nature should survive — content rights, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, and governing law — continue to apply afterwards.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top reflects the latest version; material changes will be noted there. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
General
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing a term isn't a waiver of it. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any service engagement we agree with you, are the entire agreement between us about the site. You may not transfer your rights under them; we may transfer ours if the site changes hands.
Privacy
How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
