The verdict

D-ID Studio has been a hard-allotment product throughout the window and remains one. In January 2025 the plan meter was denominated in minutes — duration deducted from a monthly pool, unused minutes voided each cycle. Over 2025 D-ID relabeled the unit to credits (one credit is up to fifteen seconds of video), but the mechanics are identical: a renewing monthly ceiling that resets to zero. The hard stop is documented in D-ID's own help center — running out triggers an upgrade popup whose only options are to upgrade, buy an add-on credit package, or wait for renewal, with no automatic pay-as-you-go overage. No usage- or outcome-priced product was stood up alongside the subscription, so the minutes-to-credits rename is the only material change, and it is cosmetic for classification.

What changed

No dated repricing events are itemized for D-ID Studio in this edition's log — consistent with a model that has held its shape over the window. New moves are added to the change log as they're captured.

Where it's headed

The rung's gravity is weak here; expect continued relabeling and tier tuning rather than a move to auto-billed overage, given how durably the buy-a-pack hard stop has held.
