The verdict

Manus had no public pricing in January 2025 — it was a free, invite-only beta sitting on a multi-million-person waitlist. It monetized on March 31, 2025, launching straight into a credit-metered model with hard allotments: Starter at $39/mo for 3,900 monthly credits, Pro at $199/mo for 19,900, credits resetting monthly with no rollover and no auto-billed overage — run out and you must manually buy add-on packs or upgrade. By March 2026 Manus restructured downward and more generously (Pro tiers at $20/$40/$200 for roughly 4,000/8,000/40,000 credits), but the mechanic held. It was born at the hard rung and has stayed there — a within-rung reprice, not a traverse.

What changed

  • Mar 1, 2026 · Price change · Pricing restructured downward (model unchanged): Pro now $20/mo (~4,000 credits), $40/mo (~8,000 credits, 7-day trial), $200/mo (~40,000 credits); Free = 300 daily-refresh credits (1,500/mo cap) for Manus 1.6 Lite; Team from $20/seat; 17% annual discount. Roughly doubled credits-per-dollar at the entry tier vs the $39 Starter. (archive)
  • Mar 31, 2025 · Meter adopted · Manus exits free invite-only beta and launches credit-metered paid plans: Starter $39/mo (3,900 monthly credits, 2 concurrent tasks) and Pro $199/mo (19,900 credits, 5 concurrent tasks); free users get 1,000 credits. Born as a hard allotment — credits reset monthly, do not roll over, and paid subscribers can buy top-up packs.

Where it's headed

With the dollar price already cut and credits-per-dollar roughly doubled at entry, any further move is more likely another reprice within the hard-allotment model than a shift to auto-billed overage.
