The verdict

Smartlead has sat at a hard allotment continuously from January 2025 to today. The January 2025 snapshot shows the model already in force: a fixed active-leads cap plus monthly-resetting email credits across Basic $39, Pro $94, and an unlimited tier at $174, with no overage or top-up language. The mechanic is a genuine ceiling — help docs state new emails stop sending once credits run out (until reset or upgrade), lead caps lift only by deleting leads or upgrading, and campaigns pause when the quota is hit; there is no pay-as-you-go billing. The only material 2025 change was packaging — a three-to-four-tier restructure adding Unlimited Smart and Unlimited Prime ($379) and separate AI add-on SKUs — none of which moved or softened the core meter.

What changed

No dated repricing events are itemized for Smartlead in this edition's log — consistent with a model that has held its shape over the window. New moves are added to the change log as they're captured.

Where it's headed

The access-priced chassis is stable; future change is more likely another tier reshuffle or AI add-on SKU than a metering-model migration on the core plans.
