  2. Now Rung 3 · Hard allotment

Held one rung all window — pattern: Credit burn-rate reprice.

The short version The sticker barely moved — but the meter did. The same work costs more than it used to.

The verdict

Instantly moved inside one rung, not across the access-to-usage axis. In January 2025 its lead/data product was already a hard allotment — Verified Leads sold as a fixed monthly bucket ($47 / $97 / $197), denominated in a delivered result. On May 14, 2025 the official changelog launched SuperSearch with a new credit-based system that re-denominated that meter from per-verified-lead into abstract Instantly credits with variable burn (1 per own-source email, 2+ via partner, 0.5 enrichment). Wayback brackets the cutover tightly between May 9 and June 13, 2025, while the dollar ladder held. The dollars stayed; the unit and its cost-per-action changed — the signature of a credit burn-rate reprice. It remains a hard allotment: monthly ceiling, no public top-up packs, no documented auto-billed overage.

What changed

  • May 14, 2025 · Credit burn-rate repricing · Official changelog 'SuperSearch is here' announces a 'New Credit-Based System' that re-denominates the lead/data meter from 'verified leads' to abstract 'Instantly credits' with variable burn: 1 credit = verified email via Instantly, 2+ = verified email via partner, 0.5 = AI enrichment — same unit now varies in cost per action instead of one flat 'verified lead'.

Where it's headed

Exhaustion behavior is undocumented, the main caveat here; if an auto-bill overage path emerges or is confirmed, that would move it toward metered overage rather than the current hard allotment.
